Ice Cream Sandwich Frozen ' Layered Cake'

Total Time: 2 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 16 -24 ice cream sandwiches
  • 1 (16 ounce) container cool whip
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup butter

Recipe

  • 1 line bottom of square cake pan pan with almonds, then spread 1/4 of cool whip on top of them.
  • 2 cut all ice cream sandwiches in half then lay them side by side on top of cool whip.
  • 3 spread another layer of cool whip then more almonds.
  • 4 lay rest of ice cream sandwich halves then another layer of cool whip.
  • 5 freeze completely.
  • 6 melt butter and chocolate in microwave and spread over top.
  • 7 freeze until chocolate is cold and hard.
  • 8 when ready to serve take knife along the edges of pan to loosen, flip upside down and there ya go--pretty huh?
