Provolone Burgers

Total Time: 33 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 18 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 sandwich buns, split
  • lettuce

Recipe

  • 1 in a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients.
  • 2 crumble beef over mixture; mix well.
  • 3 shape into eight patties.
  • 4 grill, uncovered, over medium-hot heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until juices run clear.
  • 5 top each patty with a cheese slice; grill 1 minute longer or until cheese is melted.
  • 6 grill rolls cut side down for 1-2 minutes or until toasted.
  • 7 top with lettuce& burgers.
