French Toast Tuna Sandwiches

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tuna, drained and flaked
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or 1/4 cup salad dressing
  • 8 slices sandwich bread
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted

Recipe

  • 1 mix together tuna, celery, onion, pickle relish, and mayo.
  • 2 spread 4 slices of bread with tuna mixture; top each with another slice of bread.
  • 3 mix together eggs and milk.
  • 4 dip sandwiches into egg mixture.
  • 5 saute in butter over medium heat 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  • 6 serve immediately.
