Morning Breakfast Panini

Ingredients

- 2 slices bread or 2 slices brioche bread, 1/2-inch thick
- unsalted butter (melted for brushing)
- 3 tablespoons cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 slices cooked bacon, fried until crispy
- 1 egg, fried
- salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup arugula
Recipe
- 1 preheat an electric panini maker on high heat according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- 2 place the bread slices on a cutting board. brush one side of each slice with melted butter.
- 3 turn one slice over and sprinkle with the cheese.
- 4 top with the bacon and fried egg, and season with salt and pepper.
- 5 top with the arugula and the other bread slice, buttered side up.
- 6 place the sandwich on the preheated panini maker and cook according to the manufacturer’s instructions until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, 3 to 5 minutes.
- 7 transfer the sandwich to a cutting board and cut in half.
- 8 serve immediately.
- 9 serves 1.
