Fill-me-up With Garlic Cheese Loaf

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • french bread
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 cups cubed monterey jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  • 2 teaspoons lemon pepper
  • 1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • tomato, slices
  • 1 sprig fresh parsley

Recipe

  • 1 preheat the oven to 350*f.
  • 2 cut the bread into halves lengthwise. remove the bread centers, leaving the bread shells. tear the bread centers into chunks.
  • 3 melt the butter in a skillet. add the garlic and sesame seeds. saute until golden brown. add the bread chunks. fry until golden brown. remove from the heat.
  • 4 mix the sour cream, monterey jack cheese, parmesan cheese, parsley flakes and lemon pepper in a bowl. add the artichoke hearts. stir in the bread mixture. spoon into bread shells. sprinkle with the cheddar cheese.
  • 5 bake for 30 minutes. remove from the oven and garnish with the tomato slices and parsley.
