Hot Dog Chicago Style

Total Time: 13 mins Preparation Time: 3 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 all beef hot dog
  • 1 poppy seed hot dog bun
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon neon-green pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon chopped yellow onion
  • 3 tomatoes, slices
  • 2 pickle spears
  • 4 sport bell peppers
  • 1 dash celery salt
  • 2 slices cucumbers (wedges)
  • 2 slices pickled tomatillos (wedges)

Recipe

  • 1 heat a grill to medium. char the hot dogs on all sides until just black, but not all the way burnt.
  • 2 while dog is grilling, steam the bun over a little boiling water in a steamer basket.
  • 3 take the dog out, place on bun. apply mustard, relish, onion, tomato, pickle, sport peppers, and celery salt in that order. place the tomatillo and cucumber on the side. enjoy!
