My Combination Sandwich

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 slice deli ham, about 1/4 inch thick
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons mayonnaise
  • 3 pieces toast or 3 pieces toasted whole wheat bread
  • 1 slice onion (thin slice)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice favorite cheese
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 -2 piece lettuce
  • 1 slice tomato

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium non-stick skillet, place slice of ham and butter.
  • 2 over medium heat, saute ham just until slightly brown.
  • 3 drain on paper towel.
  • 4 set aside and keep warm.
  • 5 in same skillet, break egg, and yolk, but do not scramble.
  • 6 salt slightly.
  • 7 cook over medium heat until firm, then flip over to cook other side, about 1 minute.
  • 8 place cheese on top of egg and turn off heat.
  • 9 spread mayonnaise on each of two slices of bread/toast.
  • 10 spread mustard on third slice.
  • 11 place mustard slice on serving plate and place ham slice on top.
  • 12 add onion slice.
  • 13 top with another slice toast.
  • 14 add egg and cheese and top with lettuce and tomatoes.
  • 15 place with the third slice of toast, mayonnaise side down.
  • 16 place 2 toothpicks opposite each other about 1/2 inch from edge of sandwich.
  • 17 cut from corner to corner.
