My Combination Sandwich

Ingredients

- 1 slice deli ham, about 1/4 inch thick
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons mayonnaise
- 3 pieces toast or 3 pieces toasted whole wheat bread
- 1 slice onion (thin slice)
- 1 egg
- 1 slice favorite cheese
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 -2 piece lettuce
- 1 slice tomato
Recipe
- 1 in a medium non-stick skillet, place slice of ham and butter.
- 2 over medium heat, saute ham just until slightly brown.
- 3 drain on paper towel.
- 4 set aside and keep warm.
- 5 in same skillet, break egg, and yolk, but do not scramble.
- 6 salt slightly.
- 7 cook over medium heat until firm, then flip over to cook other side, about 1 minute.
- 8 place cheese on top of egg and turn off heat.
- 9 spread mayonnaise on each of two slices of bread/toast.
- 10 spread mustard on third slice.
- 11 place mustard slice on serving plate and place ham slice on top.
- 12 add onion slice.
- 13 top with another slice toast.
- 14 add egg and cheese and top with lettuce and tomatoes.
- 15 place with the third slice of toast, mayonnaise side down.
- 16 place 2 toothpicks opposite each other about 1/2 inch from edge of sandwich.
- 17 cut from corner to corner.
