French Dip Sandwiches

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 2 large onions (quartered)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 -4 lbs boneless bottom round roast
- 5 cups water
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 12 -14 french rolls (split)
- 2 cups shredded swiss cheese
Recipe
- 1 saute onions in butter till tender.
- 2 transfer to slow cooker.
- 3 cut roast in half and place on top of onions.
- 4 combine soy sauce, water, soup mix and garlic.
- 5 pour over roast.
- 6 cook 7-9 hours on low.
- 7 remove roast and let stand for 15 minutes.
- 8 thinly slice meat and place on rolls.
- 9 sprinkle with cheese and place under broiler till cheese melts.
- 10 serve juice as a dipping sauce.
