French Dip Sandwiches

Total Time: 9 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 9 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 2 large onions (quartered)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 -4 lbs boneless bottom round roast
  • 5 cups water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 12 -14 french rolls (split)
  • 2 cups shredded swiss cheese

Recipe

  • 1 saute onions in butter till tender.
  • 2 transfer to slow cooker.
  • 3 cut roast in half and place on top of onions.
  • 4 combine soy sauce, water, soup mix and garlic.
  • 5 pour over roast.
  • 6 cook 7-9 hours on low.
  • 7 remove roast and let stand for 15 minutes.
  • 8 thinly slice meat and place on rolls.
  • 9 sprinkle with cheese and place under broiler till cheese melts.
  • 10 serve juice as a dipping sauce.
