Easy Tangy Barbecued Beef

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4-1/2 cup water, as needed
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onions
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon minced garlic, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse-ground mustard
  • 1/4-1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, to taste
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 3 cups thinly sliced deli roast beef, cut into strips
  • 6 sandwich buns

Recipe

  • 1 in large saucepan, combine sauce ingredients.
  • 2 bring to a boil.
  • 3 reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 4 add beef and stir to cover with sauce.
  • 5 cover and simmer 5- 10 minutes or until heated through.
