Easy Tangy Barbecued Beef

Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups ketchup
- 1/4-1/2 cup water, as needed
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons chopped onions
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2-1 teaspoon minced garlic, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse-ground mustard
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, to taste
- 1 dash pepper
- 3 cups thinly sliced deli roast beef, cut into strips
- 6 sandwich buns
Recipe
- 1 in large saucepan, combine sauce ingredients.
- 2 bring to a boil.
- 3 reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 4 add beef and stir to cover with sauce.
- 5 cover and simmer 5- 10 minutes or until heated through.
- 6 serve on rolls.
