Light And Easy Monte Cristo Sandwiches

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 3 tablespoons honey mustard
- 8 slices bread
- 4 slices swiss cheese
- 1/4 lb thinly sliced smoked ham
- 1/3 cup nonfat milk
- 2 large egg whites
- 2 teaspoons powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup raspberry jam or 1/4 cup strawberry jam
- cooking spray
Recipe
- 1 assemble sandwiches: spread 1 tsp mustard over each bread slice.
- 2 place 1 slice of cheese over 4 slices of bread.
- 3 divide ham among sandwiches.
- 4 cover with remaining bread slices.
- 5 mix egg whites and milk together in a shallow bowl.
- 6 spray a cooking skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat or you may use an electric skillet.
- 7 dip both sides of sandwiches into milk & egg mixture.
- 8 cook sandwiches in skillet until lightly browned on each side, about 3 minutes on each side.
- 9 transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle top of sandwiches with powdered sugar and top each one with jam.
