French Toast Sandwiches

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 12 slices canadian bacon
  • 6 slices monterey jack cheese
  • 12 slices french bread (1/2-inch thick)
  • 3/4 cup eggnog
  • 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 6 tablespoons strawberry preserves

Recipe

  • 1 place two slices of canadian bacon and one slice of cheese on each of the six slices of bread.
  • 2 top with remaining bread.
  • 3 place eggnog in a shallow dish.
  • 4 dip sandwiches in eggnog.
  • 5 in a large skillet or griddle, melt butter.
  • 6 cook sandwiches on both sides for 2-3 minutes or until bread is golden brown.
  • 7 serve with strawberry preserves.
