French Dip For Sandwiches

Total Time: 6 hrs 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3 lbs boneless beef chuck roast, trimmed of fat
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 8 french rolls or 8 hoagie rolls, split,buttered and toasted

Recipe

  • 1 place roast into slow cooker.
  • 2 add water, soy sauce and seasonings.
  • 3 cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours or until beef is tender.
  • 4 remove meat from broth, shred with forks and keep warm.
  • 5 strain broth (if desired) and skim off fat.
  • 6 serve beef on toasted rolls and pour broth into small cups for dipping.
