Portabella Mushroom Panini

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 portabella mushroom cap
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 1 slice provolone cheese
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat large sauté pan over medium-high heat.
  • 2 drizzle olive oil over the mushroom cap.
  • 3 season with salt and pepper.
  • 4 slice mushroom into 1/4 inch strips.
  • 5 sear slices 5 minutes, do not move them during this time.
  • 6 flip slices over and sear for another 5 minutes.
  • 7 meanwhile, toast the bread.
  • 8 remove portabella slices and place, along with one slice of provolone cheese, between the sourdough bread slices.
  • 9 place sandwich on panini press.
  • 10 enjoy!
