Hot Chicken Salad Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 12 slices bread
- 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans chicken breasts, drained
- 3 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped or grated
- 1/2 cup green olives, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 2 tablespoons dehydrated diced onions
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 4 ounces cold pack sharp cheddar cheese
Recipe
- 1 trim crust from bread.
- 2 mix butter and cheese together and spread on the bread slices.
- 3 mix together chicken, eggs, olives, onions, and mayonnaise.
- 4 spread mixture on 6 slices of bread.
- 5 place remaining bread slices, cheese side up, over the chicken filling.
- 6 place sandwiches in single layer on large baking sheet.
- 7 ***torefrigerate for later baking, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate now.
- 8 ***preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- 9 heat sandwiches, uncovered, for about 20 minutes or until hot and cheese topping melts and bread is toasted.
