Hot Chicken Salad Sandwiches

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bread
  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 (6 1/2 ounce) cans chicken breasts, drained
  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and chopped or grated
  • 1/2 cup green olives, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons dehydrated diced onions
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces cold pack sharp cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 trim crust from bread.
  • 2 mix butter and cheese together and spread on the bread slices.
  • 3 mix together chicken, eggs, olives, onions, and mayonnaise.
  • 4 spread mixture on 6 slices of bread.
  • 5 place remaining bread slices, cheese side up, over the chicken filling.
  • 6 place sandwiches in single layer on large baking sheet.
  • 7 ***torefrigerate for later baking, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate now.
  • 8 ***preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 9 heat sandwiches, uncovered, for about 20 minutes or until hot and cheese topping melts and bread is toasted.
