Sausage Stuffed French Bread

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 loaves french baguettes or 2 loaves italian bread
  • 1 lb bulk breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 cup chopped green onion
  • 2 chopped jalapenos
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350.
  • 2 cut very tops off the loaves. save tops and hollow out the bread,leaving about 1/2 inch border.
  • 3 brown sausage.
  • 4 add bell pepper, green onions and jalpenos. cook until softened.
  • 5 add cream cheese and let melt.
  • 6 add sour cream and cheddar, stir over low heat until combined.
  • 7 divide mix between the two bread bowls, replace tops.
  • 8 wrap in foil.
  • 9 bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until bread is crunchy.
  • 10 let rest for 5 minutes before slicing into individual sandwiches.serve warm.
