Hot Cheddar Beef Submarine Sandwiches

Ingredients

- 4 submarine sandwich buns
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 -3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 4 slices american cheese
Recipe
- 1 cut a thin slice off the top of each submarine bun; set top aside.
- 2 hollow out bottom of bun, leaving a 1/2 inch shell; reserve 1/2 cup of bread.
- 3 in a skillet, cook beef, green pepper, onion, and garlic until meat is browned; drain.
- 4 stir in soup, worcestershire, reserved bread, and oregano; mixing well.
- 5 spoon mixture into buns; top each with a slice of cheese.
- 6 replace tops.
- 7 place sandwiches on an ungreased baking sheet.
- 8 bake at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted.
