Fajitas

Ingredients

  • Servings: 5
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lb boneless top round beef or 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • refried beans
  • chopped tomato
  • shredded lettuce
  • chopped avocado
  • salsa
  • sour cream
  • 10 (8 -10 inch) flour tortillas, softened

Recipe

  • 1 in medium bowl, combine molasses, oil, lime juice, chili powder, oregano leaves, chopped onion and minced garlic, mix well. add steak; stir to coat. cover; marinate 4-6 hours or overnight, stir occasionally.
  • 2 in large skillet, stir-fry meat mixture 5 minutes or until brown.
  • 3 to serve place meat on center of each tortilla; top with cheese, refried beans, tomatoes, lettuce , avocado and salsa. roll up envelope fashion. serve with sour cream.
