Meatloaf For Breakfast

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • your favorite leftover meatloaf
  • 1 egg
  • 2 slices american cheese (or your favorite other toppings (tomato, lettuce, bacon, pickles, whatever you like)

Recipe

  • 1 butter one side of each slice of bread.
  • 2 place one slice of cheese on one of the unbuttered sides of the bread.
  • 3 slice meatloaf into about 1/2 inch thick slices.
  • 4 heat nonstick frypan and add meatloaf slices.
  • 5 fry meatloaf until warmed through and slightly browned.
  • 6 remove from pan and place on top of cheese.
  • 7 in same pan, fry the egg to your liking.
  • 8 (i like to break the yolk for sandwiches) remove the egg from pan and place on top of meatloaf slices.
  • 9 add the second slice of cheese on top of the egg.
  • 10 put the remaining slice of bread, buttered side up, on top of cheese.
  • 11 place sandwich in frying pan, and cook over medium heat until bottom piece of bread is nicely toasted.
  • 12 carefully flip sandwich over, and cook, again until the bread is nicely toasted.
  • 13 remove from pan, add any other toppings if you like, cut in half and enjoy!
